At Oxbridge School, we take immense pride in the achievements of our students, and today, we are excited to celebrate two remarkable individuals who have embraced international sporting opportunities
Rugby Player Fo
Fo, a Year 7 student at Oxbridge School, participated in an International Rugby Tournament in Thailand this February 2025. He is a proud member of the HK Valley Fort Rugby Team. Competing against teams from Singapore, Japan, and Thailand, Fo demonstrated exceptional skill and teamwork, embodying the spirit of sportsmanship that we value at Oxbridge School.
Engaging in rugby helps students not only to improve fitness levels, but increases their coordination, and teamwork skills, as children learn to work collaboratively towards a common goal as a team. It also instills important values such as discipline, respect, and sportsmanship, encouraging students to support one another both on and off the field.
Taekwondo Athlete, Caitlin
Caitlin, a dedicated martial artist and black belt taekwondo athlete, showcased her talents at an “World Taekwondo Grand Slam Youth League 2025 - City Tournament (Hong Kong)” this last 6 April 2025, achieving an amazing 2nd place in Individual Poomsae Age 10-11, and her best personal score.
She also participated in the 21st Japan WATA Open International Taekwondo Championship 2025, which took place from 25th to 27th April. Caitlin competed in Individual Poomsae (Colour Belt), Age 8-11, Intermediate Division. During the event, Caitlin had the opportunity to compete against athletes from around the world, learning about their professionalism and passion, as well as gaining insights into their cultures.
This event marked her first competition overseas, and we are confident that this is just the first of many international competitions to come! Her determination and discipline have not only earned her accolades but have also inspired her peers to pursue their passions too.
We commend both Fo and Caitlin for their outstanding achievements! Their participation in these prestigious international events highlights the importance of engaging in extracurricular activities, which foster personal growth, teamwork, and resilience.
We encourage all our students to explore their interests outside the classroom. Whether it's sports, the arts, or community service, getting involved can lead to incredible experiences and lifelong friendships.
Congratulations once again to Fo and Caitlin! We are proud to have such talented students at Oxbridge School!
