Tony was educated in the U.K at King's College, Taunton, and then studied at University in Birmingham. His first career was as a British Police Officer for 13 years where he also taught at the Police Training College and found his love of teaching others. Since then he has worked as a teacher in both China and Hong Kong and completed his PGCE in primary teaching. He is particularly interested in phonics, and has published a book on the subject. He is also an accomplished novelist. At Oxbridge School, he will also teach extra curricular sports clubs.
An experienced teacher, Amy joins us in August from Safa British School in Dubai where she has been working as a Class teacher and a member of the Teaching and Learning team, sharing best practice with colleagues across education. She holds a BA Hons Degree in Education and Training and a PGCE from Nottingham University.
Previously Amy taught at schools in both Dubai and in the UK and also as a volunteer teacher working with orphanages in both Uganda and Romania.
Janelle is a highly qualified classroom teacher and has recently gained a further Master's Degree in Teacher Librarianship, so is ideally qualified to lead the development of the Library Learning Hub at Oxbridge School. She has taught at international schools in the UK and in Hong Kong and was Head Teacher of a Pre-School in Australia.
As well as her keen interest in books and education, Janelle has an interest in flying aircraft, holding a restricted pilot's licence, and has undertaken solo flights.
Tanny holds both a Bachelors Degree in Language and Literature and also a Masters degree in Education (Early Childhood Education). She completes a PGDE in teaching Chinese as a second language and also holds an IBPYP certificate.
Previously working at schools including Mount Kelly Hong Kong School, she speaks several languages and is fluent in Japanese.
May holds both Bachelor's and Masters's degrees in Special Education and trained initially as a primary teacher with a specialism in Geography and Maths.
May is also undertaking a second Master's degree in Advanced Teaching and Education Leadership. She comes to us with a great deal of experience both internationally and in Hong Kong, including teaching at ESF and at the American International School.
Originally from Djon, Paul graduated from a top French school with a passion for teaching and pursuing different methodologies on helping foreign students to learn French. Paul has taught and shared his culture around the globe for over 10 years guiding and reassuring his students whenever they came across any difficulties. Easy-going and talented, Paul will customize a rewarding experience for your children so that they have fun while learning ‘La Langue Française’.
Bill is an experienced, native, English teacher who has taught at various universities, high schools and learning centres internationally. He believes in a holistic approach to education, emphasizing individuality, self-expression through the correct use of the English language. He is always aiming to provide students with constructive paths to improve their English abilities as well as channeling their love for the language.
Over the past few years, he has specialised in teaching the Cambridge English Young Learners (YLE) syllabus that prepares students for their exams. His customized lessons measure how well students are doing in the four main areas of reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
Bill's lessons are designed to make learning interesting and motivate students to work towards their full potential in addition to earning their certificates. Bill's enthusiasm in communicating this passion is well suited to helping others realise their own potential and achieve success.
